Hi Britney,
An ophthalmologist is a medical doctor that treats any type of eye conditions or problems. The physician must be good at communicating what is wrong with their patients, and how to treat them. You just be good at dealing with difficult patients, since you will be doing procedures that people don't like doing. There are medical emergencies associated with eyes, so you must be ok with taking calls throughout the night. Overall, just being a friendly person to make your patients feel comfortable in your office.
Best of luck
