Hello Ashley,
This is very tough question to answer. It would all be dependent upon why you are looking into becoming a Pediatrician. Are you looking to help and partially care for children ? Are you wanting to go into this field for the compensation ( money) you will make ? I would only say its worth going into if you are really wanting to go into this career for the right reasons. If you don't like babies to adolescences then I would say look into something else. See the choice is yours, it all starts with deciding your personal why, then you can decide if it is truly worth it.

Hi! Thank you for your response! I will definitely be doing a lot more research into what I like/ what I want to do!

I would also ask why you are seeking to be a pediatrician? Do you think you will enjoy working with the pediatric population? Are you prepared to go the distance with a pre-med bachelor's program, medical school and internships? You may want to explore speech pathology. Many SLPs (speech-language pathologists) work in the schools with children or in medical facilities with children and infants. This field requires a bachelor's degree, master's degree and a clinical fellowship year. Whatever field you choose to work in pediatrics, it will likely require a strong science (anatomy & physiology) background and years of schooling.
