Hi Braden! A part of your medical school training will be learning how to throw stitches. Although the steps to throwing stiches are fairly simple, it is certainly a skill that gets better with practice. The more practice and experience you can get with it, the better they will turn out! Also, there are a lot of different types of stitches and methods on how to best close a wound, that you will learn along the way!

Actually, it is very fun to suture up wounds. Sometimes it is difficult if the injury made an irregular wound or if the patient has a hard time staying still. However, these problems are part of the challenge along with making a really cosmetically nice closure. You have to take pride in your work!
