Kalin’s Answer
Hello Braden,
Each type of career path has it's own ups and downs and it is really up to you whether you turn your work into fun and it brings you happiness and value or you become one of the many who hate what they do!
Becoming a nurse definitely has it's challenges and I can assure you it's not an easy task especially with the fact that you are dealing face-to-face with people most of which may be in a pretty bad mood or shape and yet you would need to keep calm and give your best to help them. This means that there may even be people you hate whom you would still need to help, so how would you tackle that?
It's all related to your personal values but you need to ask yourself what makes you happy? Is helping people driving inner happiness and satisfaction in you? Maybe it's also worth asking yourself 'OK , I'm a nurse , now what, what's next?'

Hello Braden,
Kalin is absolutely correct and I love her advice. Nursing is want you make out of it. Fortunately there are many fields of nursing out there and you can pick and choose which one you want to go into. As with any job, there will be good and bad days but always try to find the good in each day. If you enjoy helping people and making a difference, then nursing is for you. I was very shy when I started nursing but I learned really quick that I had to talk to people and communication was key, so this helped change my personality in a positive way. Nursing is challenging but rewarding at the same time. You will have to decide which field of nursing is right for you. Good luck!

Great question!
But, the answer lies within you. Fun is subjective, meaning what is fun to one person may not be fun to others.
Nursing is challenging, rewarding, intense, sacred, long hours, fun, mentally and physically exhausting, exhilarating, healing, scarring, learning, and teaching.
I would say nursing is an everything job.
It requires everything from you, and it will also give you everything. All the emotions and adjectives you can imagine....even fun.
If you decide to take on the challenging adventure to become a nurse, be the best one out there. Your patients deserve it.
