Most program would like you to have a science background for your undergraduate before you attend the DC degree. If you would like to save money, attending community college first and make sure you have good grade will allow you to have good scholarship to transfer to 4 years institution. From there you can apply to school for chiropractor. I would suggest start the school search now and start the conversation with the admission from chiropractor school.
These will be good courses to focus during your undergraduate:
Biology: human anatomy and physiology, embryology, genetics, microbiology, immunology, cellular biology, exercise physiology and kinesiology
Chemistry: general chemistry, organic chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, toxicology/pharmacology, nutrition and nuclear medicine
Physical sciences: physics, biomechanics and statistics
From my personal experience being a pre-med/pre-pt student in college, I would say the best thing to do is to shadow or volunteer at different places. You might think you like chiropractor but until you shadow someone for a good amount of time you won't be able to confirm that. Don't just shadow chiropractor, try different medical professional, something similar but different. This will allow you to know that chiropractor is the only career path for you or maybe there is something else out there for you.
Keep up your GPA to be above 3.5, this will open so many more door for you!
You got this, good luck.

Hi Ariatna:
The Council on Chiropractic Education (CCE), in conjunction with its Commission on Accreditation, is an autonomous national organization recognized by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Education as the authority on the quality of training offered by chiropractic colleges. See the link below for a list of chiropractic colleges.
I hope this was helpful. Best of luck to you!

Great question! Yes, there are special schools that you can attend in order to study to become a chiropractor. To be a chiropractor in the U.S., you need to get a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. The requirements to apply to a chiropractic school are to have completed at least 3 years of an undergraduate college degree (working towards a Bachelors degree), with at least 90 semester hours. Sometimes the school requires you to have a Bachelors degree. You need to complete at least 24 hours of science courses (life science & physical science), and your GPA must be at least 3.0.
Find a couple of chiropractors that you can speak with, to ask them questions about what they do and decide if that is something you might be interested in.
Research chiropractic schools and do research on what their requirements are, as well as what the timeline looks like to apply.
If you aren't already in college, prepare to attend college to complete the requirements for chiropractic school.
Keep your grades up! You need to have at least a 3.0 GPA.
