How many years does it require to become a physican?

To become a family medicine physician it will take 4 years of college, then 4 years of medical school, and then 3 years of residency. Residency is when you graduate medical school but you are "in training" for a few years. You are still making money and you are a doctor, but you need a supervisor basically for a few years.
