It is not only about saving lives. Sometimes it is about being a shoulder to cry on, supporting families, educating, helping people die with dignity and comfort.
Nursing is an amazing career if you want to dedicate your life to helping others. I find it very rewarding and fun. I am never bored in my field and there are so many career options within the field of nursing.
