Hello Ashley,
I appreciate your question & wanting to know more about occupations in the medical-field. First of all, if you are struggling trying to figure out what you want to do in your life, you should first determine what exactly interests you.
Since you want to find occupations that are similar to pediatric surgery, you should determine what suits your interests more: working as a physician for children or working as a surgeon?
If you are more interested in working with children, there are plenty of medical occupation titles out there such as: pediatrician, pediatric occupational therapist, & pediatric sports medicine. Also, there are many subspecialties that you might like as well if you're still interested in pediatric surgery. For example, a pediatric orthopedist is someone who provides both surgical and nonsurgical practices on children.
If you're more interested in the surgical aspect, then I'd suggest looking at some of the main occupations: orthopedic surgeon, neurologic surgeon, transplant surgeon or even a general surgeon; just to name a few.
Overall, there are many occupations that can be related to a pediatric surgeon. The most important thing to do is narrow down your options to what you want to pursue in specifically. I hope you found this helpful.

Hello Ashley!
I was in a similar boat as you in high school where I wanted to pursue a career in pediatric surgery. I shadowed a few surgeons and as I started college, I realized there is a great need of innovative solutions in the pediatric field. I graduated as a mechanical engineer and now am pursuing a PhD in biomedical engineering working on projects related to pediatrics. I work with the doctors and help them come up with innovative solutions to help the kids! I also like volunteering at the children’s hospital.
Instead of seeking a set career, I highly suggest exploring your interests. What interests you so much about pediatric surgery? One of the best ways I learned to explore careers is talk to or even shadow the people in that career path. Universities and companies all the around the world also host numerous outreach events for high school students on helping them explore careers. A simple search of outreach events for high school students at XX university/company or outreach events for high school students in STEM should help you get started. There are so many fields out there that you can explore in lots of different ways! Hope this helps!
