What are stragties to land your career job.
I'am college student at community college; Planning on transferring to a four year program to pursue a business degree.
The reason why I ask this question is because many students graduate with a lot debt and finding a job in this economy is very difficult.
I'am very worried about this issue and hearing reasonable advice can help. #business #professor #finance #accounting #entrepreneurship #senior-accounting-manager #investor-relations

I would recommend requesting Intern work at local business's during your summer term. This will give you real time experience and set you apart from other graduate applicants. Best Wishes!

If you are having a challenging time trying to determine which career is the best route to take, I would do some research and determine which career you think is the best for you, and look to see how others have transitioned into a their career life. I didn't go to community college, then into a 4 year university, I graduated high school straight into college, graduating with a lot of debt. Knowing what you want is better because you are focused on a certain path without wasting time and money. Everyones journey is different, good luck!

Visit your college career center as soon as possible to create a plan. They will know what companies come on campus to recruit, their requirements, and the timeline for recruiting. They can also help you get your resume polished so you can apply for internships. Internships are a great way to get experience and get your foot in the door of a company. Many companies are now hiring full time staff through their internship programs. It is even better if you can get 2 internships.
I would also suggest getting involved on campus. Join a student organization with like minded business students. Not only will it give you the leadership experience companies look for, but you will have more opportunities to network. Volunteering is also an excellent way to get leadership experience.
Finally keep your grades up and make sure you understand the material you are learning in your courses. Many companies have a GPA requirement and you do not want to miss out on an opportunity because of your grades.
I wish you the best.

I did this route too - jr college then transferred to a 4 yr school. My advice, take as many general ed courses prior to save time/$, even if you have to take a 3rd year at a jr college. Ideally, you want to transfer with all the basics out way so when you get to a 4 yr school you can just focus on the advanced level courses specific to your degree.
