Don’s Answer
When I was in high school I was thinking about the medical profession (anesthesiology!). There was a Scout program called "Explorers" that was co-ed and let you "explore" a particular career type. We met at the local hospital once a week and had presentations by doctors, hospitals tours, CPR training, etc. Check that out!

Anesthesiology is a beautiful and rewarding profession.
Imagine helping another human go through one of the most painful experience in life, comfortably.
It requires a comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biochemistry and above all passion for the field because there are times specially with healthy patients when we don’t have to intervene much.
With modern airway equipment and ultrasound usage one needs hands and eye coordination.
