Good morning,
Delivery numbers depend on where you practice and the size of the group your practicing in.
Some small community hospitals may only deliver 500-1000 births a year where as a larger
hospital could do 9000.
If you are in a midwifery group working with a practice of physicians you could see 3-5 a day. Smaller practices could go a week without.
Keep in mind the less you do your skills can be affected. The more you do can become a safety issue.
Speak with a group of midwives or someone in private practice.

As Suzanne says, it really depends on where you practice. I've worked in one practice where we did 30 deliveries in a month (and were the busiest group in the hospital) and in another where we did in excess of 250 per month. Some days I would have no deliveries and then on the other extreme my record was 15 in a 24-hour period. This was all in hospital births. Working in a birth center, which I have never done, is usually much less. The few midwives who do home births (estimated at less than 2% of all midwives) even less due to logistics. Look at the ACNM website for different groups of midwives and ask them.
