Hey Cole!
What Mikayla said is true (4 years Bachelor's degree and 3 years Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree), but I'd also like to say that if you are VERY sure that you want to pursue PT as a career, look into 6 year BS/DPT programs. This will cut down your total education by 1 year and you won't have to write additional grad school essays. This is the track I took to become a PT and it was so worth it! You want to make sure you like the university, though, as you will be living there for 6 years. Let me know if you have any other questions about the 6 year program!

Hi! As a new grad physical therapist, you need to complete a bachelors degree (typically exercise science, applied physiology and kinesiology, biology, etc) along with the pre-requisite courses required by the doctorate of physical therapy programs you are looking to apply for! It’s typically 4 years of undergraduate studies, followed by 3 years of graduate school.
