how many years does it take to become an Rn?
I am a junior in high school and i am interested in becoming an registered nurse when i graduate because i like to help people.

You may choose one of two pathways after high school:
Many community colleges offer a 2 year nursing program (ADN, associates degree in nursing) after which you take a licensing exam.
The other option is to complete a 4 year Bachelor of Science in nursing program (BSN) at a major university then take the licensing exam. The benefit to the BSN program is that you have more opportunities to advance, for example into management, leadership positions, or a nurse practitioner program.

If you decide to go to a 4-year school, to become an RN, you have to enroll in 4 years of schooling!
