Doc’s Answer
Ariana nothing gets done by one person alone, which means we have to band together to make the changes we want to see in the world. Community service has indeed been the fuel to the fires of change both on international and local fronts. Volunteering is a highly beneficial and rewarding way to employ your time. Not only can you contribute to important causes that could inevitably bring about substantial change, but you can also grow as an individual, attain valuable work experience and develop vital skills that can further your career.
SOLDIERS' ANGLES • https://soldiersangels.org/covid-response/covidvirtualsupport
Soldiers’ Angels has several family friendly options to give back to our troops and veterans. Some involve joining a virtual team to write letters, send cards or bake treats to send to soldiers. To join a team, you’ll need to pay a $1 monthly donation. Other virtual volunteering (no team required) involves making masks, no-sew blankets, para-cord bracelets and cards of support.
CATCHAFIRE • https://www.catchafire.org
This volunteer search tool is exclusively for online volunteer projects. Each one has a timeline that can range anywhere from an hour to a few weeks. So whether you have an afternoon or several, you can help not-for-profit with tasks like writing thank you letters or editing photos.
UNITED NATIONS VOLUNTEERS • https://www.unv.org
The United Nations Volunteers programme offers countless of online volunteering opportunities across the world. Like the rest of the UN’s efforts, this program strives to boost sustainable human development.
VOLUNTEER MATCH • https://www.volunteermatch.org/virtual-volunteering
VolunteerMatch lets you explore hundreds of virtual volunteer opportunities across health and medicine, children and youth, education, community building and more.
ALL FOR GOOD • https://www.pointsoflight.org/virtual-volunteering-opportunities
All for Good is Points of Light’s database of thousands of volunteer opportunities. To find virtual opportunities, enter “virtual” in your search under “More options.”
I hope this was helpful Ariana

Thank You Dexter for your continued support. When there is hope in the future, there is power in the present, and since hope is the foundational quality of all change, there is considerable reason to be excited.

Thanks for sharing the links of various organizations with virtual volunteer opportunities. I currently make cards from home as a card care team volunteer with Soldiers Angels (and it has been very rewarding).

Hello!
This is great that you would like to take advantage of online volunteering.
VolunteerMatch is a great resource.
The American Red Cross has a Missing Maps program which can be done from anywhere.
Check with some of your favorite nonprofit organizations as many have switched over to virtual options.
There are also other volunteer activities you can do on your own time, such as creating care cards for the Ronald McDonald House, senior centers, homeless center.
Hope this helps!
