Hi Marissa! My mom is a math teacher and it does greatly depend on your location, education, and school district. The more degrees you have, the more a school district will be willing to pay you. And the more years you work in the job, your pay will go up. In wealthy school districts, public school math teachers can make upwards of 60-80K a year.

Hi great question. The salary base for each region and state is different based on the local school district and state's budget, negotiations with any unions, and also the you education background. Being a teacher is a wonderful aspiration but it is not a job where you will make millions every year. However the rewards of inspiring and giving your students the knowledge they need to thrive and succeed in what they want they want to do is all worth it Also explore other ways to teach math like tutoring or learning about how to create math curriculum for math teachers.
