What is the academic education path to becoming a corporate lawyer?
The profession of international business sounds interesting but I have no idea what the path is to join this field. #business #law #lawyer #corporate-law

First an undergraduate degree which usually takes 4 years. Your major is not as important as your undergraduate grades, your LSAT score, your letters of reference, and your personal statements on your law school application. For now, just focus on finding a college that fits you and your budget and a major that really interests you in college so that you will make great grades and get strong letters of recommendation from professors that recognize your potential.
During college, study for the LSAT.
Law school is 3 years during which time you will be exposed to different specialities in the field of law.
After law school, you will need to pass the national licensing exam known as the Bar exam.
Good luck!

The first step is getting a degree from a 4 year institution. Then you must take the LSAT (law school admission test). You apply to law school with this score. Law school is three years. At the conclusion of law school, you must take the Bar exam. After passing that exam, you will be an attorney.

It depends on where you are based - from your location it seem you are in the US therefore you would first be required to do 4 years of undergraduate education followed by the LSAT exam which allows for your placement in a US law school. Law school usually takes 3 years (if you are not involved in a coop program, part time or similar) to complete and you recieve your juris doctorate at the end. You would then need to sit nd pass the bar exam of the relevant state where you wish to practice. All of this can be done in 7 years+!
