Deijana’s Answer

Well make a list and ask yourself what interests you in each of them. Growing up I always loved tea parties and having friends over and throwing extravagant events. I just loved producing events and working behind the scenes to do something that people love. American loves big gatherings for sports events. I ended up majoring in sports management with a concentration in facility and event management. From tea parties to pro sports... you never know.

Hi Nikolet,

The best part about this question is that you don't have to have it all figured out. You can start down one path for your career and decide you want to make a complete switch to a different job or industry altogether. I have been working in talent acquisition for a number years and have seen so many people move around to different jobs and companies based on what they are interested in at the time. Do what you love now. If that changes, then that's ok!

Gloria’s Answer

Hi Nikolet.

This is a question that you are going to ask yourself throughout your life. I certainly don't know what I will be doing in the future. It is hard for me to believe that I will be doing the same thing. The thought of that is boring. I would like to keep learning new things about the job that I do or change my career entirely.

I would say that this question would best be answered by what you are passionate about. What are your skills and talents? What would you like to be doing for several years from now? You have to think about what you would do no matter how much money you made.

Simeon’s Answer

Of the two, I would recommend teaching. Going into the medical field requires a lot of certainty and fortitude. Getting there can involve a lot of sacrifices and it's common for people to drop out of medical training. Teaching can be stressful as well, but you have more options to teach in different settings if you're having problems just with being paired up with the wrong school district.

Rebecca’s Answer

You have already identified some industries that you are interested on. You can continue to do more research on that 2 particular industries and understand how the jobs like. You can also explore any intern opportunities working in the sectors. There are always gaps between your expectation and reality. You still have time to change your mind or explore other sectors too.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
