Networking is key! Find people who have similar interests as you do and exchange knowledge with them. Be interested in what they have to say and, when appropriate, feel free to offer advice or information that you have acquired. Within business (and really, in most other areas), developing strong relationships with people is very important.

It's also important to find something you like doing and learn how to do it well. Dedicate the time and energy to become an expert and don't be afraid to share your knowledge. People will appreciate you for your strengths, and you never know what kind of doors that can open.

Working in business will differ in every company. Each company has a "culture" that determines what the experience is like, and each person has an individual perspective or viewpoint through which they see the "culture". Choosing a company that is a good fit is really important.

Most companies offer opportunities to learn , but it is also important to seek out opportunities to learn on your own, through books and mentorship opportunities. It's also important to seek learning opportunities from your day-to-day work, your family and friends, your extracurricular activities and social circle, and formal education.
