Michael’s Answer

Hi Leenlei. By 'this' I will assume you are referring to CareerVillage itself. The idea is that you, as a student, can ask questions related to your interests and/or career plans and professionals with experience in those topics/careers will try their best to answer your questions and provide you with useful information.

Gloria’s Answer

Hi Leenlei,

I would recommend that you use this platform to learn about jobs that you want to consider for a future career. People here can tell you what people like and dislike about the job that you are interested in. You can also get advice for handling things like job interviews, resumes, education. etc. I will say that I am 25+ years working and I come here to provide advice, and yet, I am learning from the people who post here as well.

If you are considering going to college, I would say that you should focus on subjects that appeal to what you like and use skills that you already have as a base.

Gloria

Dr. James’s Answer

Good afternoon. If you are referring to careervillage, it is a place where you can ask questions seeking advice from others who have the experience or education to provide you valuable guidance. I wish I had a site like this when I was growing up to ask those with way more experience than me for advice. Another good way to seek advice is find a mentor, someone in a career path you are interested in.
