Hi Jacqueline!
To become a nurse, you would enroll in a nursing program after graduation from high school. There are a couple of different types, ranging from 2-4 years long. I would suggest looking into programs that best align with what you plan to do after achieving your nursing degree. After graduating from nursing school, you would be required to take a nursing licensing exam to officially become an RN.
Best of luck on your journey!

I am happy to hear of someone young looking toward their future. Nursing is an amazing profession.
I highly recommend going to your local hospital and medical clinic. The nurses there, I beleive, would be more than happy to talk to you. They can tell you all the good and bad experiences they have had. They can also guide you as to what classes and training you should take. That would allow you to avoid their mistakes. I would also suggest you volunteer at your local hospital or medical clinic. That would give you some hands on experience. Good luck with your noble choice of profession.
