What are some quick resume boosters for prospective college students?

My cousin is graduating next spring and I want to help him find impressive and enriching programs to get involved in this summer. I know it is already June, but I hope to find something that can make him stand out on college applications. He likely has to start sending those out in August or September. Any advice, links, etc, are appreciated!

P.S. he wants to attend a college with a great medical program, especially in neuroscience! #college #medicine #resume #neuroscience #college-student #summer-programs

Showing passion and motivation are great for your resume. Examples: volunteering, starting a side business, fundraising, organizing community activities, etc. These things can help you stand out as a passionate and motivated person. If he is interested in healthcare, then perhaps hospital or medical charity related work would help.

I would definitely say volunteering is a great way to boost a resume quickly. Also, if there is a way to get a leadership role of some sort in a club or another kind of organization, that is definitely helpful.
