Hi Muskan
I followed the same path of doing MCA post Bsc Computer Science - given that i wanted to focus on Computer Science as my career option. However given that you want to explore other avenues and not bound yourself to just one option i would recommend you look through the MBA curriculum from various colleges that you want to apply to and see which one meets what you are looking for. Also as Christian mentioned it might be a good idea to do summer internships in digital marketing if possible to get first hand experience on what the job entails. Its definitely beneficial to have hands on experience along with doing an actual course. Also keep in mind that there are lots of options out there you need to find what interests you and you can see your self enjoying that career. Best of luck in your journey

Hello Muskan, Happy New Year to you and your family. First of all, it's clear from your question that you don't want to deal with computers as you have done your BCA and now want to do your MBA. MBA from a good business school is always good, but then you also incline marketing, so while selecting your majors in MBA be focused on what you want to do in the future, based on that pick your subject. All the very best, do well

As a leader in the technology space, I have worked with and hired teammates with a variety of different educational backgrounds; everything from High School diploma's to doctorate degrees. Years of schooling is definitely not feasible for everyone, from either a "how I learn" perspective or from a monetary perspective. In all cases, my goal, when hiring and interviewing candidates, is to find someone who is passionate about technology, who is passionate about continuously improving themselves, the company, and their teammates, and who is always willing to learn something new. I don't think the amount of schooling or the number of degrees on your resume directly correlates to your ability to successfully contribute to the team; your passion does.
This being said, with a BCA, you can begin to find industry sectors that spark your interest. That's the great thing about a computer degree, every industry, nearly every company needs technologist. You can work in Healthcare, Automotive, Aerospace, Hospitality, Finances, Real Estate, Energy, the possibilities are truly endless. Assuming you want to pursue a career with a technical focus - the next step (at least it was for me) is to decide what your secondary passion is - where do you want to help utilize technology to change the world? or at least a piece of it?

There are a ton of things you can do in the digital marketing space so my first piece of advice would be to hone in on what specifically you want to do. If it's social media, you may not need the MBA and experience might be a better option. So getting internships or entry-level jobs. If you're wanting to work on the strategy side, the MBA would help you because you're exposed to a ton of case studies.

You need to take a look at the market what is up and coming. Match it with you technology passion and go. Set a plan that matches what is needed with whatever part of technology your passionate about and plan. Write a plan for each step you want to take. Give your plan soft and hard deadlines. Make sure your realistic and stick to the working plan. If the plan isn't working change the plan to move forward.

About Master of Business Administration (MBA):
Those who have a managerial bent can opt for MBA after BCA. Though the ideal option would be MCA or PG course in IT, MBA is also a lucrative option, nonetheless. Students who plan to pursue MBA after BCA should choose IT as specialization for a bright and secure future
