For clarification, I am assuming you mean that you are working on a degree or certification in psychology through an online university program. I will answer the question based on that assumption. Twenty years ago there were limited options for individuals wanting to obtain a degree without having to attend an in-person school. This has changed drastically in the ensuing years. Now, online universities are not only a viable option, they are becoming a very accepted avenue to pursue many types of degrees, particularly degrees in psychology as well as various certification programs. I received my master's degree in counseling from an online university. It was fully accredited and I have since moved on and have worked in multiple settings providing psychological services to clients. I have never encountered issues regarding my online degree in terms of employment opportunities.

However, perhaps you are speaking about a certification program. There are various types of certifications pertaining to psychology including drug and alcohol counseling which includes the CADC certification. There might be some differences in pay for those with a bachelor's or master's degree, but not necessarily. We are seeing an increase in individuals becoming "life coaches" which does not require a degree. A life coach position can be very profitable and many online programs are accredited. Positions in the behavioral sciences are varied and I think individuals seeking employment in this field have a wide variety of niches to choose.

Hello Kegan,
It depends a bit what you mean with digital diploma.
In case you talk about a online bachelor or master degree it might be needed to explain why you did this online.
Whereas explaining this might not be that difficult. Online bachelor or master should have same quality as any other degree.

If you talk about platforms alike www.edx.org or www.coursera.org it does really much depend from where you work and intend to apply.
To graps the idea of some knowledge and can be helpful, but MOOC are not same like a degree at University.
Hope this does help you a bit.

No matter what you do - it shows that you are commited, trying new ways and invest in your future.
