Hey ,my name is Ethan Chetty ,I'm 21. I stay in Johannesburg and unfortunately did not complete my matric ,it's been 4 years since I dropped out and going back to complete it will be a mission after so long.
I've found a job after leaving ,as a salesman and made some good money but with the whole covid - 19 situation that we're facing ,I left the job because being around too many customers every day isn't good ,right..

Now I am really desperate for work and don't know where to find a job ,please assist me.. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. #business #career

Hi Ethan, you are still very young. I strongly encourage to continue your study on matric and complete a undergraduate degree. Education not only gives us knowledge , it also trains our skills and thinkings. You will find it useful regardless what job you work on or you run your own business. If you would like to work on some professional sectors or any industry that requires high qualification jobs / better income, you also to attain higher levels of education.
In case you have any financial problem to be a full time student, you can also consider to continue your study on part time basis. Knowledge can improve our life.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Decide what field you want to work in, what credentials/skills you bring, and start doing research. You'll likely need to update your resume to submit to any potential employers. Use all the resources that you have available - if can you still access your school's/univ's career office or guidance counselor consult them, use word of mouth (tell your friends, family and anyone you know about your job search), get on-line using job search tools, LinkedIn, etc. And FOLLOW-UP in every lead , every contact. Thank people for any leads they provide you, send your resume to any leads, follow-up even if there is no opening by asking for an informational interview about the industry/their career path - even if only by phone. It's a lot of work -- almost like having a job! -- to successfully look for a job!
Good luck!

Desiree recommends the following next steps:

Prepare/Update your a resume & have a trusted advisor/mentor or friend proof read it for you
Use word of mouth to try to find job openings
Research job openings - on line or through your school/university
Follow-up with each contact/lead (thank you notes, emailing your resume, requesting "informational interviews", etc.)
