I completely agree with Mr. Koch. For example, if you wanted to be a doctor, you'd have to major in pre-med and go to medical school. If you want to become a nurse, you've got to go to nursing school after high school. If you want to work in hospital administration you might find yourself majoring in business. If you want to do medical science, you'd have to major in biology or another hard science. So if you can refine your question somewhat (or ask a new question perhaps) we might be able to help you out more.

You can't just say the medical field. Everything in the medical field is specialized, so you need to decide what part of the medical field interests you. Do you want to become a Doctor or a Nurse, or would you be happier in a laboratory. maybe administration is more to your liking, whatever you decide will determine what majors you should take. Talking to a college admissions counselor is your best bet.

A career in the medical field could encompass many different things.
Doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other related providers will have majors in chemistry, biology, anatomy and physiology.
There are also social workers, counselors, and public health workers that will major in sociology, psychology, education and mathematics.
And there is the business side of the medical profession the operates, manages and administers. These professionals may major in business, economics, accounting and finance.
Almost any degree can be used in a medical career depending on your interest and direction.
