The world is a big place with many different challenges that we must face and address in the upcoming years. Trying to tackle all of it is too much for any one person, but there are certainly numerous ways that each of us can help. My recommendation would be to find a specific issue or challenge that you’d like to work on, and then you can determine how to build a career around addressing that challenge. For example, if you’d like to research and help address climate change, becoming a climate scientist could be a great career choice. If you’d like to work to protect individuals’ civil rights, then becoming an attorney could be a career choice. You could also pursue a career in non-profit management and help an organization dedicated to something like eradicating poverty or homelessness. It’s also important to know that many individuals choose to use their time outside of work to focus on improving our society. There are limitless ways that you can make a difference and make our world a better place. Take time to understand the challenges we face, think about what types of knowledge and skills are necessary to combat them, and then pursue those attributes through your education and experience.

Hi Ms. Rohm! One quote you can mention to your students "Helping one person might not change the world but it could change the world for one person." I think by doing good and starting small can make the world a better place. It's about lending a hand to people who are by you such as being friendly to a classmate who is shy and may not have friends the first day, if someone is getting teased or bullied , standing up for them instead of being" part of the crowd " and teasing along. These little changes can be the small ways that the world can change! I also think being this young and wanting to make a difference is amazing and it seems like your third graders are on their way to make some great changes!
Best of luck!

It might be hard to save the entire world, but help the people right around you. That will be a great help! Help older persons, your parents, and other family members. That would be your way of saving the world.

Be kind and be consistent! Do small things that make a stranger smile, be friendly on days you don't feel like being friendly. Hold the door for the person behind you, look people in the eyes, and tell the people you care about that you love them as often as you can. Do those things consistently and that will help change the world!!
