Good major for a future youth counselor?

If I would like to become a Youth Counselor after I graduate from college, should I major in psychology or social work? #career #psychology #major #social-work

Hi, good question...there are a lot of majors you can use to work in youth counseling...psychology/social work like you mentioned. Also consider Sociology, Counseling, even Criminal Justice will offer you some courses in all these fields and another career option.

Hi,
You are in the right direction. Yes your major allows for youth counselor and psychology/sociology will also help. If you want look into the future of other possibilities as well- Master in Psychology also has potential for testing as well, if this is something you would be interested in.
