Frank’s Answer

This is going to sound a little silly, but the best college for Software Engineering is the one that works best for YOU! Don't worry so much about the reputation of the college, instead consider what it has to offer to YOU. Does it offer a good set of courses in CS? Is it near by or far away? Can you afford to go to school there? How successful is it in producing employed CS graduates? Is there an opportunity for grad school and some track record of research occurring there? These are the more important questions to ask, for if you find a such a school and do well there, you will succeed just fine in the career world, too!

I concur with Frank. It's what you do once you get in to any school is what will drive you towards better career. What I mean is go beyond the courses you take in school. Learn all the new languages that keep coming out, contribute your code via github.

Sara’s Answer

I agree with all the answers above. I was going to say the best college is the one you can afford haha. I want to say I didn't go to a fancy school, I went to my local city college because I grew up in a single parent household and college is expensive! I would focus on doing well in your courses and also self-studying and building software projects while you're in school. Once you have some projects and work you can show off, you'll get your first job and your career takes off exponentially from there.
