Justin’s Answer

Generally speaking, usually tuition fees cover room and board but not necessarily the meal plan. Each school does it differently, but normally you get a letter from the school before the year or semester starts, asking you what type of meal plan you want.

Simeon’s Answer

For me, room and board were charged separately from our tuition at both Houston Baptist University and Baylor University. Each university does things differently, though, so it'd be a good idea to call the finance department of the colleges you're considering directly so you can ask them.
