Is going to a 2-year college a good option to get GE credits and then attending a 4-year to receive a degree?
I am a junior in high school and am exploring my options for higher education. I am thinking about attending a 2-year for GE in order to save money. #college #financial-aid

Absolutely. However, you need to look into making sure what you take transfers directly to the college you will go to next because some 2 year college courses that seem to be equivalent to the 4 year courses are not accepted. Check into what courses are accepted at the 4 year you are choosing prior to taking courses that may not count.
A lot of 2 year courses may not transfer but 2 year degrees do. A college counselor should be able to help guide you and that is free. You can call and ask for the counseling office and set up a free meeting with one even right now so you can plan ahead

Yes, but make sure the program or university that you want to enter will accept credit transfer from the 2-year college. You will most likely save some money starting in 2-yr college first and will be a little more financially prepare for the rest of your college years.
Some 2-years college offer direct credit transfer to its respective partner college/university. Not only you can save money and obtain your bachelor, but you can also gain an additional Associate Degree from the 2-year college for the GE course or equivalent.
Above all, you will have an easier transition into college experience.
