Hi Sundaram,
When you apply for a job, the company you are applying with wants to know that you really are interested in them, not just a job they have. You prove this by talking about their industry, their challenges, how well they are doing in the market place and any recent product launches, software implementations or new clients.
You can research companies in various ways. Obviously, look through their website and look at every page, not just the home page. Find out what they do and who their competitors are. Next, look at their profile on LinkedIn. You don't have to pay to log into LinkedIn. Look at their blog if they have one. Find out their financial information such as how much money they bring in and how their stock is doing.
You will use all this information when you are doing the interview. You need to word answers to their questions by showing them you have done your research.
Good luck!
Gail
