James’s Answer

I have worked for a few major Wall Street firms in my 20 year career. During the time of each firm, i have held multiple different positions. Equity Trader, mutual fund reconciliation rep, customer service rep, equity compensation analyst currently at UBS. Being in the finance/economics field has afforded me different opportunties for different firms. Each opportunity is another chapter to learn more about investing, finance, etc which has been very rewarding as I have knowledge and skills that many Americans don't have.

Hi Amy,
Good question. Many different types of professionals work on WallStreet in the securities industry -- analysts, traders, salespeople, bankers, lawyers, accountants. The industry is always changing. Best to find a position where you can learn and grow on the job
