Congratulations on securing 79+ percentage in SSC. Join a 3 year Diploma course in any of the reputed Polytechnics and choose computer science as the subject. Once you successfully complete 3 years Diploma, you can directly get into 2nd year(BE or BTech)engineering. Since you have a Diploma in computer science, engineering will be another 3yrs course. Then you can specialize in a subject and do further studies or get a good job in IT field.

Thank you comment icon hello ma'am Manjunatha i got admission in electronics and telecomunication in the best polytechnic in mumbai is this good?? Fatima

Edward’s Answer

An IT career will tend to be a more "hands on" job, supporting applications or maintaining infrastructure, while Computer Engineering will involve more design of computer and electronics components, closer to what an electrical engineering would do. CE will be more hard science and theory focused, while IT will be more applied.
