Can you enlist in the army if you had a 504 plan for ADD before the age of 14, but still had it after your 14th birthday?

It doesn't hurt to meet with a recruiter. Be honest with them. There are countless waivers for enlisting.

If you Enlist you will be required to meet minimum Department of Defense (DoD) Medical Standards. If for some reason you do not meet the DoD Medical requirements there is still a chance that you may be able to get in through medical waivers which are approved by the Service branch you are seeking to serve in.

Waiver criteria can change frequently so there is not a clear answer of what waiver requirements may be like in two years. I would recommend that you take care of your health and reach out to a recruiter in person when you start your junior year. Thanks for being willing to serve.

I refer you to Jon and Aaron's answers below. While it does not appear that ADD is a disqualifying condition , a recruiter can best advise you. The authoritative document for this issues is DoD Instruction 6130.03, Medical Standards for Appointment, Enlistment, or Induction into the Military Services. Hope this helps.

If you successfully graduate from High School, and you get a passing score on the ASVAB, then your recruiter will probably not care about whether or not you had an IEP.
