Rochelle’s Answer

Travel nursing is a great way to get the opportunity to travel as well as make good money! Other careers it would really depend on the position you take and the company you are working for and their need for their employees to do work elsewhere. Lots of sales jobs require lots of travel.

Do you want to make Travel as your major career or you are looking for a job that you can travel? If you are really interested on Travel industry, you can consider to be Travel consultant, Travel Journalist or outbound Travel Guide. To be Travel consultant, they would need to visit different travel sites and help the clients to plan their trips with their knowledge. Similarly, Travel Journalist's job is to visit different sites including travel sites, hotels, etc. and write the articles to introduce these places. Outbound Travel Guide leads the tour to travel to different places.
However, if you are looking for careers that require travel, you can consider to be a pilot, air host, etc.
Firstly, you may consider what you are interested / wish to work on. Then, you can choose the relevant subjects as major in the college.
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Working in consulting is also a great way to have opportunities to travel. Pre-pandemic, consultants were typically expected to travel on Monday mornings to clients and returning Thursday evenings. To Rochelle's point, it all depends on the role you are in. Typically job postings do indicate how much travel may be required in terms of a percentage. It's great that as a high school student you are beginning to do career exploration. Wishing you the best of luck!

Simeon’s Answer

This might sound counterintuitive, but I would recommend accounting if you are looking to travel the world. If you are able to get a job with one of the big four accounting firms: PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, or EY, you'll have a great shot at being able to travel the world. If you work with your career team, they can work with you towards the goal of working overseas. If this path interests you, I'd recommend pursuing an internship with these firms and going to their recruiting events. Just know that there can be crazy work hours during busy season, so the work-life balance is commonly a major issue for people with these companies.
