Some struggles I ran into were learning how to manage my time and money. You do need to budget and use your resources wisely. Think about the long term benefits of your decisions. You are investing in your future while you are in college and you need to keep that in mind. Spend time going to class, studying, preparing for projects and absorbing the material. You also need to spend time meeting people and making connections with your classmates. Some of those lessons and friends will stay with you for the rest of your life.

There are many struggles in college, but it's an exciting period in your life. Staying away from the obvious money issues, the biggest challenges are the myriad of choices you now get to make. The amount of freedom you get when you're in college goes up exponentially.

There are lot of struggles, but also a lot of wonderful things! I had challenges adjusting to the tougher expectations from my professors in comparison to high school. Don't be afraid if it takes some time to learn what the instructor is looking for. Also, this may sound like weird advice, but especially in engineer or other rigorous STEM disciplines, it's totally normal to get some bad grades on assignments, tests, or even in classes. Some majors are hard, but that doesn't mean you can't still make it through the program and be successful in the industry you're aiming for. Some of the early "weed out" classes are somewhat designed to scare freshman away from tough majors, but once you get through those most professors are really passionate about the subject and will work with you to succeed. Go to class (some don't take attendance so you have to be self motivated to show up and learn), go to office hours, do the homework, and you'll do great!
College is a great time to learn not only about a major but also about yourself. You'll have more independence than you did in high school, it's up to you to do something with it.
Hope this helps!

For me, it was definitely time management. In college, you will have so many opportunities and not enough time to do them all. Between class, work, extracurriculars, friends, social events, career planning/networking, etc. I often found myself struggling to pick between them all. It is important to try and prioritize based on your goals and what is important to you.
