Tiffany made some good points. Here's a link to a page that provides some other good information: https://careertrend.com/how-12021342-become-shark-biologist.html
If you're still in high school, you should be trying to get good grades in your math and science classes. If your school offers higher level biology classes, you should take as many of those as possible. Computer science and statistics are two other areas you should be familiar with.
Do you live near a zoo or aquarium? You could try to get a volunteer job or internship. That would make you stand out from other students when you apply to college. Do you live near a college or university? Do they have a biology department? You could go an talk to a professor there who is doing the type of research you might be interested in.
Berkshire Community College has majors in biology and environmental science and computer science classes: https://www.berkshirecc.edu/
Bard College (which is one of the top small schools in the country) has marine biology courses. You could make an appointment to visit the school and set up some time to speak to students and professors who are working in that field. https://simons-rock.edu/
Good luck with your studies!

Another shark fan! I love it!! Even though this is quite far from you, I highly recommend Cal State Long Beach Shark Lab. This is a program where you can obtain a Master's degree in Biology doing what you love...studying sharks! Here is the link for their webpage:
