What are some scholarships I could apply to that are not frauds?

In school they never speak about how we apply for scholarships, they only teach core lessons and prepare us for testing. We hardly ever hit other important topics in life that should be taught as well. For example doing taxes, applying for school loans, buying/renting a home, etc. Things we should be taught so we could be more prepared in life. We need to know at least some of the scholarships that we could apply to, to see if we could get college money since college is really expensive. I believe this question is very important because many young adults don't attend to college because they lack the money which they see as a fortress against a bigger professional future. #college #school #scholarships

Jose- I couldn't agree with you more. Managing money, filling out forms, writing a check, addressing an envelope, etc... But this is how you can sharpen your own skills. You have the internet!!! Do research for your State, city and school. Your first step should be filling a FAFSA, Federal Student Aid application, which will help you understand what you qualify for at a federal level, which is usually a Pell Grant, and student loans. From there you can speak to a counselor in the Financial Aid department and they can guide you on scholarships, and scholarships specific to you; like what you'll be studying, ethnic background, community, volunteer work, etc.. Go find that $$$ and best of luck.

Hi Jose! Do you have a school counselor or college admission counselor? That's what school counselors do. Try the Scholly app.
Try these to start as well:
