Hi Jia, to be a vet you would need to attend a lot schooling. In the US, it is a 4 year program after your typical bachelor's degree. For most people that would be 7-9 years of school. I would recommend looking into AP classes if you are in high school to see if you are interested in science and math as both will be necessary (and can help you skip over introductory college level into classes). Further, I would recommend volunteering at an animal shelter (or even a farm) to gain experience working with animals. Finally, I would also look into becoming a vet tech when the time is right (2 year program that you can do while completing your degree).

Adding to Sophia's answer: Veterinarian are doctors. It takes a heavy academic road to be one but its worth it to those who have this profession. Look at this article I linked. I also recommend you visit a local vet (COVID protocols permitting) and just ask them for a bit of their time and insight and pick their brain. I am sure someone will be willing to sit with you and answer any questions.
