Hi Kyle!

As a nurse, I work with doctors a lot and am able to see what they have to do in a day. You can expect to complete a residency program for a couple years first, where you work under a Fellow doctor who is senior to you, as well as an attending doctor. You learn a lot from the experience you get in the hospital. Shifts are usually long and can be overnight some days. You can choose to specialize in something before you get matched for a residency after medical school. As a doctor, you assess patients, work with nurses and other specialties to ensure treatments are delivered and spend a lot of your day placing orders into the electronic health record. Obviously, your duties depend on the facility and practice, but hope this helps in giving you a broad view :)

Best of luck,
Sanober
