What's the best college to go to?

I want to major in Accounting and minor in either Economics or Finance. I'm more of a fast pace worker which is what I noticed about myself. I also want a college that is affordable but is also well developed and can provide the best opportunities for me. I also want to be able to travel aboard for my studies. #major #majors

Hi Taliah! Many colleges will have Accounting programs, so I recommend just starting to look around in general. A lot of schools offer virtual tours now so you don't even need to take a trip to visit. Here are some factors you may want to consider to narrow down your list of schools -
- Location (do you want to be in a big city or college town?)
- School size (what kind of school community do you want?)
- Extra-curriculars (are there any activities you enjoy or want to try that a school might offer?)

I went to college in Boston because I wanted to live in a city and be surrounded by a bunch of other college students. Some of my friends were the complete opposite and wanted a smaller community feel. You can definitely get a business related degree at either type!

Simeon’s Answer

My undergraduate college, Houston Baptist University, has a pretty good business program with a growing list of degree options and opportunities. As far as affordability goes, it's a bit pricier, but there are some full scholarships available if you're interested in applying for those. I got a business degree there and got almost a full ride, so it turned out well for me as far as financing went.

Hi Taliah,

Most state schools have great accounting programs that would be affordable if you lived in that state. You should take a look at your local state schools to better understand if there are any programs that have accounting.

Many accounting jobs recruit out of college grads at local colleges, so you should definitely start your search there!

Good luck!
