Seek out internships that build on your experiences year after year. And maintain those connections. You never know who will have an opening when you graduate, it just might be that local sports team that is looking for an Events Managers for in-game promotions.

Kim’s Answer

Try to get as many opportunities to intern with a variety of internships. Every chance you get helps you decide what area of Sports Management you want to pursue.  This is a great time to experience many situations and meet professionals in each field.  Sports Television, College Sports, Recreation, or Private sports are some of the avenues to pursue.  Every person you meet can make a difference.  Make sure you make lasting relationships that you can come back to anytime.
