Becoming a physician requires a tremendous commitment to excelling academically and devoting 11+ years of undergraduate, medical school and residency. The process of becoming a physician is grueling but having a passion for your goal will carry you through. Physicians are not more intelligent than everyone else, we are simply people willing to work hard and persevere to achieve that goal.
The rewards make all that effort worthwhile. You will be joining an ancient and noble profession. Nothing is better than helping a patient get better. If Sports Medicine is your dream then pursue it at all costs.
If someone tells you it is too difficult for you, ignore them. If you enjoy your job, you will wake up every day eager to go to work.

Hi Ashanti!
I do not think that sports medicine is difficult for you because you stated that you love sports. However, you have to differentiate playing your favorite sports from becoming a sports medicine specialist. If you want to get a career in sports medicine, you must have the interest and motivation to excel in this field because you are going to deal with athletes who had injuries sustained while playing sports. For a start, find your local hospital or sports medicine clinic who are treating injured athletes. Find time to volunteer for a start so that you can get an idea if this career is right for you and suits your interest. I hope this answer your question.
