Hi Divya!
I'm not sure if you want to become a respiratory specialist or a respiratory therapist! If you want to be a specialist in respiratory care, you need to acquire a degree in medicine by becoming a doctor then after that, you need to specialize in pulmonary medicine. This doctor specialty deals mostly with sickness/diseases related to people's lung. This career requires many years of study and it requires more financial resources as compared to a bachelor's degree studies. However, if you want to become a respiratory therapist, it requires less year of study, less financial resources are needed compared to becoming a respiratory doctor. For a start, I would suggest you visit the website aarc.org to learn more about respiratory care. I hope this answer your question.
