Hi Ashley:
It's awesome that you want to volunteer. Right now, during this pandemic onsite volunteerism might be restricted. I recommend that you contact your local hospital, medical center, or retirement senior citizens facility to see if they have any "virtual" opportunities that you could do remotely. I hope you find an opportunity that you enjoy. Best of luck to you!

With the pandemic, a lot of the volunteering positions have been put on hold. Specifically for minors, I haven't seen much due to liability, etc. Typically you have to be at least 16. In those cases, there have been options for non-clinical work such as running errands within the hospital for staff or assisting patients with directions, etc.
HOWEVER, I have seen groups of minors volunteering with writing cards to sick patients, or donating toys/blankets, and some other virtual work. I would agree with the above, check with your local hospitals as everyone has their own rules.

Each organization has there own program and rules. I would recommend contacting your local hospital or care facility and ask them what opportunities are available for minors. There might even be virtual opportunities such as visiting with lonely patient. Be sure to discuss any volunteer option with your patents first. I hope this helps!
