Hello Mariah,
Since you've gotten accepted into college, I'll presume you're a highly intelligent person. In answering your question, I'm making this assumption. You can expect to have to study, get very good grades, and take the right prerequisites for the nursing school you plan to attend. The 1st 2 yrs worth of work is preparation; with the 2nd half being more nursing centric.
That being said, once you get the hang of getting your timing down, organizational skills tuned, and commitment to your goals, then everything else seems to fall into place nicely.
If you like to party, use the 1st 2 yrs of college to have that time. Once you're in nursing school, your free time becomes limited. And, it's also important to experience college life too.
Continued success in your future endeavors.

If you wish to become an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), you need to get your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) first. An Associates degree in nursing is not adequate as ARNP is at the Master's level of education. Following your BSN, I highly recommend that you work for at least two years to learn your clinical skills. This will prepare you for the ARNP level of education and make you a better nurse. You would then proceed to go to a university that has a program to become a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. An ARNP assesses, diagnoses and treats patients. It is very satisfying work. Good luck and enjoy the journey.
