Hey Alena!
When I was on the east coast, I used Mandy.com as a way to find auditions. Also try backstage.com. You can also try to visit a dance studio nearby or your favorite dance company and see what they suggest as far as finding auditions is concerned or if they're auditioning, since it looks like you're looking for dance in particular. I agree with Holly, always research potential opportunities, look up the company online, etc., to make sure they are legitimate. Break legs, lady!

I will tell you there are many scheme's out there who only want to do photos of you and will tell you that they have a casting call for you. Stay away if you have to pay. That is the rule of thumb. Auditons, are long lines with many people who never make it in the field. You are much better off attending a performing arts program with guidance they can help you to find all the auditons in your area. There is a free website. I will try and remember what it is that has casting calls. You need a screen actors guild card or independent pay. Students look for candidates for short films too and will provide you with credit for doing them that you can include in your portfolio. Only a handful of people make it in this business. I think the site was Castingcall.net I will try and find it and let you know. It will tell you on there what parts are open calls the pay etc. be careful many jerks out there who have different agendas. So be sure to get refrences and have your parents take you. I will try and send more information to you. I did this for my child many years ago. We were led down wrong roads many times. The real casting calls will have hours of wait time, many applicants. Good luck. I will look for the free site for you. Never pay to be on a site.
