Jeremy’s Answer

The biggest issues that I am experiencing myself are the lengthy rules and regulations affilaited with it, and the stigma of those against the treatment.

Latter before former, staying up to date on licensing and regulatory requirements is difficult. They are as complex as any business and have unique requirements for packaging, testing, and sales. It's a lot to keep up with, that seems to be forever changing

The sigma is self explanatory. You cannot mention to most what field you're pursuing without a lecture.

Hi Michael!

Two of the most challenging issues I see are Stigma & regulatory change. Cannabis has been illegal for so long that overcoming the stigma brings it's own obstacles. However, trying to start a business or invest in a business with ever changing regulations and laws is a difficult task to say the least! Banking for example is still a challenge as cannabis companies within the U.S. cannot access traditional banking services and largely have to operate in cash.

Hope this helps!
Mark

Since you are in California there are many opportunities in the Cannabis industry,
Cannabis businesses are like any other business that require business skills like accounting, marketing, sales, education, regulatory affairs, etc. etc.
One of the most challenging aspects of Cannabis in California is staying up to date on licensing and regulatory requirements. They are as complex as any business and have unique requirements for packaging, testing, and sales. It's a lot to keep up with.
If you are considering working in the Cannabis industry make sure you are working with a reliable company that has the resources to stay afloat and to pay you. Many companies fail fairly quickly.
With time, the stigma associated with Cannabis use has decreased and it will continue to be normalized as time goes on.
Good luck!
