Hi Yareli, I'm hardly an expert on veterinary practice, but intuitively I'd say it depends on where you plan to practice after you finish school. For example, if you set up a veterinary office in a large city or busy urban area, it's more likely that you're going to deal with pets than farm or wild animals (unless you end up working for a zoo!) On the other hand, if you decide to work in the country or farm areas, you'll more likely be helping with farm animals, a different focus! It's possible you can end up teaching, too, in which case you may become involved in research at a university, or spending more time with classes and students than examining and treating animals day to day. So you can see there are a lot of options. Furthermore, veterinary medicine will be in demand most anywhere, another plus. So if you love animals, want to provide for their well-being, and have an idea of the area you'd like to work, and with the type of animals you'll enjoy working with, I think you'll succeed quite nicely!
