How can I become a Dentist from being a dental hygienist.

I will be attending George Brown College next September for the dental hygiene program. After the completion of that I want to practice as a hygienist to gain money and experience. But after, what university and which program could I select within Canada to be an actual Dentist. (GTA is where I am located and any uni here is what I need to know) Also, is is possible for me to serve patients without supervision, like if i ran my own clinic.

I think it is a waste of time and money to go to dental hygiene school if ultimately you want to become a dentist. It's two totally seperate careers. Every state had different laws, at least in the U.S. you will need to go to the Dept. Of dentstry in that state and read the laws to find if you could open your own clinic. Being a dentist is not what it's cracked up to be. You may be better off becoming a Hygienist and sticking to it
